I thank God every night for the Big Book. It is the only place where you will find the directions to take the steps you wont find the directions anywhere else I also ask God to protect my thinking while I sleep! you may find that strange but after doing this for well over 16 years now I find it so much easy to abandon myself to him in the morning and it also helps me to admit my faults and not the results of my faults to my fellowman as I discovered through the program contained in the B B I only have 5 Defects of Character they are the cause and the condition I end up in is what most people call the 7 deadly sins My higher Power will never remove a feeling from me if he did then I would be a robot but when I ask him to remove the root cause so that I may do his work he has done that!! Remove is a very heavy statement I was a convicted armed robber you ask me to remove your money and its gone But the great thing about step 7 is He is only going to remove that defect thats going to stop me from doing his work and helping others that day and I dont find out what he has removed untill I Practise step 11 I will leave you with this thought if I get up tomorrow and pick out Dishonesty to work on for that day surley thats my will and not God making the decision Please Remember I am Only sharing some of the stuff thats worked for me your expereince may be different and thats ok Thats why A A is so Great we learn from each other and grow through the Grace of God
