Every Step I took there was a promises after the step but most people think there is just 12. infact these are the promises you get after working step 9 and there is really 13 check it out it states they will always materialize if we work for them In my expereince the biggest promise in A A ,is There is a Solution What A Promise if your a real Alky eh! I have found out by being allowed to mix with the fellowship that proper love of self goes hand in hand with a real love of others.
A wise man told me a long time ago, when i look in the mirror I am looking at the face of the person who is responsible for my happiness to day. I always start my day making sure the stones are in place Willingness is my Foundation.
Believe is my Cornerstone and my Step 3 is my keystone ;D ;D ;D

Box 459, the GSO newsletter had a great article about this recently. I don't like it when locally the 9th step promises are read as "The Promises" or "The 12 Promises", of course everthing in the Big Book is so profound and true but, I guess I am a purist...like when our singleness of purpose isn't respected...I pray page 67 often :)

Thanks for being a part of my recovery all!

We can only clear the ground a bit. If our testimony
helps sweep away prejudice, enables you to think honestly,
encourages you to search diligently within yourself,
then, if you wish, you can join us on the Broad
Highway. With this attitude you cannot fail. The
consciousness of your belief is sure to come to you.
I have loved the promises,
and we have quit fighting...even alcohol...etc
