My story begins like all others at the bottom, MY BOTTOM!! I had just come back to my sober house and I was in pretty good with the Management (Or so I thought), and I went to the owner and complained about my Bunkie. He was a great guy who would wake up in the morning and BLAST music along with sining it way out tune and his Name was Ira (God Bless His Soul). He was a man who loved life and loved his recovery too. Well I was still drinking and I decided to Blame this man because HEY it was convenient to do this, because we all know we can't blame ourselves when were self destructive. So the management put an ultimatum to me GET CLEAN OR MOVE dumb ass your not going anywhere but down!!! Well I got a year and then the Director of the program puts me to work in the office doing intakes and taking rent slowly gaining the respect of my fellow men at this program and all the while I worked God, meetings, and prayer and meditation into my life. Pretty soon the owners of the program had seen the quality of the work that I was doing and then offered me the job of Director of the program. I tell this story because it goes to show that you can be at the bottom of your life one minute and with time and quality prayers and meetings GOD will answer your prayers too!!!
