From the 12x12 ... I amend it to be Nothing pays off like restraint of tongue and pen AND keyboard. I need to be reminded daily of all three ... I'm very impulsive and tend to talk or type BEFORE I think! A character defect that makes Step 10 so important! And something I have to work on daily ...

I do it not only in posts, but PMs and e-mails too. Last night I was off base in a telephone conversation with a family member ... so today will be amend day ... maybe I'm too hard on myself, I've been told that several times ... but I also have to like myself!

Interesting that this came up again today .... I just had a phone call from a family member VERY angry over something I had said in an earlier phone conversation ... or something she perceived I said ... and then slammed the phone in my ear! So I haven't reached that perfection plateau just yet! And, yes, I called right back and made amends ... so we are now friends again ...
