As I awoke today I placed my thoughts on gratitude, for my attitude needed adjusting. I long for a beach trip we cannot afford, I believe I am not alone. If this is not a recession it truly feels like one. I still have a home, food, family, and God's love. I must accepty my life as is or else. Drinking is not an option today!! Lets talk about Gratitude Today A very real part of Spiritual Growth. ;D

LOL, Lorie! :D

I have so much in my life. I am amazed when I start to list it...and I don't mean only material things, for sure.

I can move, I can breathe, my heart beats...I can see. I am sober. I am grateful for relationship with a higher power, for places like here to come, for so many wonderful people in my life...for my pups, my home, a vehicle to ride...a stove to cook meals on...the list is endless.

And when I take the time to list my blessings and the gifts in my life, I can feel myself smiling, so much.

Thank you for the topic.

Am sending a hug!

Thanks for reminding me to be grateful for so much. Especially the gift of sobriety. Knowing that I woke up in my own bed, made my own coffee, bought the Sunday paper and was sober -NO hangover-and could just BE is alot of blessing for me.

Loris, Try saying (really feeling ) a big yes to everything. Once all resistance is gone then you will be free to change what needs changing.
Love to you and your family, Karen :)
