Stayed sober

Been sober for 9 years. For the first 1 1/2 years I went to meetings then for the next 6 years I stopped going to meetings. I have been back in the program for 1 1/2 years and am very grateful to God for keeping me free from alcohol during my 6 years of being a dry drunk. Glad I am back because I didn't realize how much I stopped growing emotionally and most importantly spiritually which is what the program is all about. Thank you for watching out for me God.

P.S. Don't stop going to meetings!

bobgr welcome back I was there once for several years> I did not drink but did little else. thought I was fine. Family and friends were glad to see me cannonball back into the AA pool.
