I truly believe that physical exercise is one of the great ways to stay sober and clean. :29:
I go jogging and take long walks 6 times a week (along with light weight training and Pilates).
Along with going to meetings, exercise is part of my recovery process too.
Do any of you workout too?

I don't work out..I do a lot of walking because I don't drive..
I walked a mile and half to an AA meeting today and walked another mile and half home...does that count???

Lucky if I get out to walk. When i can't, try to remember to walk around the hall if I don't go downstairs to the mall. I also try to remember to do stretches.
Someone once asked if having a walker counted. It does to me especially now as I am having a balance problem. Don't want people thinking I am drunk 21 days away from my 20th anniversary.
I slipped the other day getting out of the tub prior to hospital. Was walking into walls and furniture and still having dizzy spells and have to grab hold of things in my apartment.

YES! It does count.
There's 2 meetings that I go to that is walking distance from my house (5 minutes or less) that I walk to also. Saves on gas for me! LOL!

I am a custodian at a university and get lots of "exercise" at work. I also do some walking. After work, I take my dog for a walk around town. It isn't power walking because the dog stops to pee on everything. Chip (my dog) loves it and I enjoy being outside and walking.
I agree with you Leana Jo, that physical exercise is one of the great ways to stay sober and clean. It also helps me get a good night sleep.
When winter comes it will be harder to go for walks outside in the cold but I'll still find a way to get physical exercise.
