It is summer on Cape Cod. The weather is fantastic. The beaches are great. Yes it is crowded but being outside and not freezing is a gift to be enjoyed.
I've got a boat to run today. People who want to go on it, and the day off tomorrow. This is all fantastic.

I am grateful to have gone to a 'town hall' aa meeting last night where there where three newcomers, an excellent topic, and the ability for me to have listened carefully and attentively to others rather than worrying about what I am going to say. I prayed to listen instead of speak during the 'quiet time' before the meeting..I spoke to one of the newcomers after the meeting who I really related to and told her this so she didn't feel alone. For this I am grateful. Peace Schell

I am grateful for all I DO have, as there are many with less. I tend to focus on what I have lost rather than what I have gained in sobriety. Let me be grateful for the small pleasures I am able to experience today which are a gift of my sobriety . Peace Schell

I was upset yesterday due to rumors being made up about me that I had just found out about. Even though I talked about it last night and figured out why it upset me so much, I, still today, didn’t feel good about it. I was on this site reading the meditations and just skimming, asking my HP to show me what I needed to read today. I am grateful for this thread about gratitude and another thread I read on ego. Thanks for being here, while I am at work and unable to call someone or hit a meeting, I can read at my desk in silence for a few moments with my HP!

Here is what I am grateful for

I am grateful for Today. I am grateful that God gives me opportunities to practice these principles and steps every day. I don't own much but I have come to realize it's not what I own or possess that makes me who I am or content in life. For that realization, I am grateful. I am fully blessed with a huge AA family, the support and love of my son, I am employed full time, and I am making financial amends along with paying my bills (which I never thought I could ever pull off). I am mostly grateful that my HP saved me and gave me a chance at this new life I have.

Have a blessed day everyone!
