i find it amazing how, when i was drinking, it was the spirits that were killing me. andnow sober, it is the spirit that is saving me. i have a HIGHER power in my life today, the great spirit that helps me through everything. but, there is also a lower power out there just waiting for the wrong thoughts to creep into my head, and that lower power has the spirits of alcohol. my choice today is the spirit of the higher power!! HE ROCKS!!:218:

Love it! I live around the corner from what is the "In spot" to be seen in. The houses are renovated and they house bars, lawyers, fortune tellers, model agency and a wedding chapel and are old, wood and brick with outdoor patios. I shared with a friend that I like the spirit of the place. He left and said, "Yes, there are a lot of spirits in here.

I need to remember and be grateful for that
yes it seems to make good sense to us today
to ask that we be filled with the Holy Spirit
and we are not chasing the evil spirit as we used to

we still in this town have a few liquor stores
that have the little "spirits" signs up in lights
we did not notice it back in the old days
but
today we do know that One Day At A Time we wish for none of those
