I just wanted to share that, as a recovering alcoholic who also struggles with deppression-I do alot of artwork, collaging (especially) scetching, watercolor or squibbling(didn't spell that one right) and it really helps you get out of yourself. I feel like a cheeseball for saying that bit hey, it works!
Ang18, hi! I think that doing creative things is a great outlet. I think it DOES help. But that's just me.
It helps me, a LOT, to go to meetings...even if I just listen...but, usually, now, I share, too. It helps me know that there are tohers besides just me, in the same boat, and I get a LOT of help and hope from them!
And I love the twelve steps!
Sounds as though you are pretty artistic! What is your favorite? I love to draw, do watercolors...paint, some. I am a prety visual person, those ways.
Sending a hug!
Sam
