Im returning to AA after a far too long absence. I had a recent turn of events inmy life that has slammed me to the floor, but I didnt drink ! Id like to meet people close to me I can chat with, maybe even call on the phone. Thanks !

I got this info from aa.org.

You could contact your local intergroup by phone or mail or you can visit their site and perhaps make contact with online people through them.

There also may be members who can help you get to meetings or bring meetings to you.
This is what central offices and intergroups are for, to help you get past the difficulties.
So, don't be afraid to ask them for help or for contacts.

Meanwhile, you are very welcome here. Please stay involved.
