I'm still here. Reading your posts and I am glad that you are sharing.
I took my turn on htis thread and am now waiting for others to join in.
It does bother me that there are more than 900 members listed and only a few share.
But I am like this at meetings also. I listen a lot and share when I can.
I don't repeat myself so if you miss it you gotta ask for more.
If the meeting goes quiet, I will not share just to fill the quiet. I listen to the quiet.
But I have considered leaving this site because of the wide spread non involvement.
Some whole week-ends go by with no posts except for ever loyal Carol.
It is you who continue to share that has kept me here these last two weeks.
I appreciate you who share. I care about you who only read the posts. I hope you will share with us. And I have mentioned this idea of leaving just to let you know where I am at, and not just to complain.
"Let It Begin With Me"? ....sometimes...Like I said, I'm still here. jim k

Even though it is in the past, I accept part of the responsibility for the lack on participation here since in the past I tended to be, what many perceived to be an over zealous moderator.
Keep doin' what you are don' ... we never know when someone will read just what they need to 'hear' ... and I've seen some members checking in after a long absence, even they don't post they may be finding something they can relate to ...
Any other thoughts? Maybe start a new thread in Coffee Shop ...
Ever Loyal Carol ... :D

Hooray for a zealous moderator!
I looked at sites recently that are horred. They were intended to be AA forum discussion but there was more there than I was looking for.
This is the best site I have seen. You moderators hve done well. Thank you. jk
Tinker, I agree...wherever two or more are gathered. Some of the best sharing I've ever had the priveledge to be a part of was with a few people!
Jim, I am glad that you are here, and I am so glad you post. It helps me!!!
Carol, you are doing fine! I am so glad for you, being faithful and doing all you do!
I come as close to every day as I cna, and read through everything.
I hope even if people come and don't post, that something said maybe helps somehow.

Carol, you're doing just FINE!!!!! Don't get so hard on yourself. I get by this site often but most of the time just a quick look as I've got many things going on in my life right now..... I get the feeling that I'm keeping God on overtime..My problems are major to me , but when I think about it , Many are having far worse times than I am.
I try to keep up with many around here that i haven't seen posting in a while...I hope they are still sober and on the road to recovery....I love this program and know it will work for EVERYONE if they DO certain things....therefore I too can be overbearing to some of the newbies...I just want them to succeed!!!!!
Suggestions seem too light for my type of drunk...I NEED orders from headquarters....I never followed suggestions when I was drinking, I didn't even follow LAWS....Anyway that's another story..
You keep doing as you feel led to do and all will be well......I have to constantly be reminded " Thy will be done , not mine"...
GBWU Don
Doc, I am so glad you are here!!!
I knew that people wanted me to succeed, too...hope the newbies can feel it, too, that we want them to...I think/hope that they must be able to feel it, somehow!!!
Hope your today is the best!!!

Posted by Tinker in the original thread ...
Well I guess its just you and me but then again "Where Two Or More are Gathered" right?____________________________________________ _____
Since we have gotten slightly off topic of the original thread, I have made this a separate topic for continued discussion.
Some good points here ... let me add that this is not MY group, this is not YOUR group, this is OUR group ... together we can keep it alive ... 8)
;D
Made my morning, you two!
One thing that is so cool, too, where my home group is, is that we do outside activites so folks can come and be comfortable with others.
Those types of things are something that helped me very much, especially when I was new, but today, too!!!
Just wanted to say.
Love you guys!
Sam
