Aftercare facility information

Hi... I am new here but have been going to Al Anon for many years. My son in currently a patient at the Meadows and we are looking at aftercare options across the country. He is 22 and an alcoholic. Has anyone had any experience with ARC or the Refuge in Florida? Or any suggestions of other facilities people have been happy with... thanks so much

Hi Angie,

I am Jim and I am alcoholic. I attended Al-Anon for 7 years and I still practice Al-Anon principles.

I believe that your adult son needs to be left to make his own decisions about his own recovery.
You can help best by recovering in your own program and accepting him as a fellow adult.
