I am new

I am new to these forums and I am an alcoholic. I went through a programme 10 years ago and managed to stay dry for 8 of those years. The past 2 months though I have been drinking (so I have relapsed) I feel really ****ty and I need some support from people that are like me.

Any replies to this would be greatly appreciated.

I replied in the other thread where you intoduced yourself, but did want to say, this morning, there is no shame in coming back again, and you know what to do, I think, having been there before.

We just start over.

Hi Janice welcome to AA Soberliving. This is really a great site and you will make alot of new friends here.I to recently went threw a sstreach of sobriety and I to relapsed and I am now on day 8. Welcome to AASL - There is alot of experience, strength and hope here, which i have found really helpful in my recovery!

I remember clearly that ****ty feeling, but if we stay off the drink today, then we will begin to feel better. Wasn't sure by your post if you are going to meetings now, if not maybe try and get to one in your area. Its hard to walk back in the rooms, i know from experience, but i am sure you will be welcomed back with love and understanding as i was. I know that today i cannot stay sober by myself, i need you and everybody else here and in my meetings to show me the way.

THANKS FOR SHARING, IF YOU READ MY i JUST WANT TO TELL MY STORY YOU WILL KNOW I KNOW HOW YOU FEEL. HAD 15 YEARS AND RELASPED. I HAVE HONESTLY TRIED TO SEE WHERE IT ALL STARTED, THE PRE MEDITATION, HARD TO REALLY KNOW. I KNOW HOW HARD IT IS TO GO BACK INTO THE ROOMS AND BE A NEWCOMER AGAIN. I AM STRUGGLING RIGHT NOW, SO I PRAY FOR YOU AND WITH YOU.
