Hi, my name is Jay K. My sobriety date is 8/4/2001. I attend regular AA meetings and do service for several of them. I keep recovery simple and live the steps to the best of my ability. I am not too expierienced with chat rooms and such but am trying to open another door in recovery.

Welcome to AASL. This is a wonderful supplement to AA meetings. Lots of ES&H and friendly people. These are more message boards than chat rooms. Post something and people will respond. Chat rooms are available also on some other sites. I have even attended online "meetings" and those are kind of trippy.

I have been sober since December 15, 1987. You have found the secret to success in sobriety. Meetings, Big Book, Sponsor, Steps. I too continue to attend meetings and do service work. I practice these principles in all my affairs.
I have found this site to be a great way to stay in touch with alcoholics all over the world.
