I'm in that situation where nothing seems to be working my way. I don't have any friends ( sober )
like me. So that leaves me to fend for myself. That's o.k. for the most part, but still a listening ear
is sometimes nice. That's how I landed here. I had one foot on that road, but the good thing was
I was so frightend I did something else. I am glad you guys are here cause I diddn't like that, and if
I'm by myself next time I might not be so lucky. Thank You All for listening.

Dear RonnE,
There are rooms full of sober freinds if you can find an AA meeting. I have gone to meetings at home, in the states, in Australia, Japan, and in Guam. Even though it might be the first time I meet these people, I am welcomed as a long lost buddy. Please try and hook up with AA in your community.

where I had been
and showed me why sobriety was fantastic!

Hi Ronn,
You did the right thing being open and honest about your need to be with like minded people. I know for me to enjoy the gift of soberity I had to leave behind alot of so called friends. I needed to change the folks I hung out with. But I still have that need for to connect with people and feel "a part of." I have nade alot of friends at the AA meetings I go to. I am even going to my sponsors surprise birthday party on Saturday. When I extend my hand to others in the program the return I get is tremendous. It takes a while to develop these friendships but when I do I find they are the kind of real friends I was looking for my whole life. God bless you in your journey.

Hi, Ronn!

Glad you came here, instead!

I was always pretty much a loner...and still have those tendencies.

But I love the fellowship of AA, and it is such a gift to be around other sober alcoholics!

Hope you will keep coming back!

And meetings are AWESOME...and you never have to be alone again.
