response for each chip of sobriety

i was curious is there a set saying after offering a chip for each month of sobriety......for example....3 months ....what do we do....get a sponser

To my knowledge, the chips are just markers of clean time. It was important for me to get a sponsor, a temporary one, until such a time as I could find one I identified with.

I have heard in NA by six months you should have a Basic Text. A lot depends on how your finances are and here in Canada, they have draws for books. That is how I got my 12 & 12. I was fortunate, my Big Book was given to me by a neighbor who lived across the hall at the YWCA. In today, you can get copies of the texts online if you are fortunate enough to have access to a computer.

I have never heard anyone say anything about the pins in AA but they have sayings for the key tags in NA.

White the colour of surrender.
Orange - aren't you glad you found NA
Red - you should have stopped whining to a sponsor by now
Green - you should have some green stuff in your pockets now
Blue - is for the color of the Basic Text with it's jacket on
Yellow - you can enjoy the sunshine now or your urine tests should be clearn and clean
1 years - glows in the dark so you don't have to.
18 months - gray the colour of cement, you should have a firm foundation to build your recovery on.
2 or more years, the only tag to have the word recovery on.

Not sure I have them in the right order. Those are just the ones I remember and have stuck in my head for the moment. Others are quite inventive and make up their own.
