"each one should use whatever gift he has received to serve others, faithfully sharing God's grace in all its variety" i thought this quote just made me understand the gift can be so little and so anything!

It is a long time AA theme that "..the most important person is the newcomer." I believe that is so because of the deep NEED of the other AA members to give, to serve, to share their gifts. It is the source of our spiritual growth, this sharing of God's grace.
I have had difficulty with accepting help from others and with asking for help. But I was directed to see this receiving as a form of service. I was told that God rewards those that give and that I could help bless the friend that wanted to help me by simply accepting what they offered with gratitude.
When I take this path (of being a willing receiver) I find that I grow in my relationship to my Higher Power. My needs are met with much less struggle and the giver's needs are met in the same instant. My growth is enhanced and I am soon able to be a giver also. And by God's grace I return again and again to needing someone's help. A spiritual cycle.
