Hello all, Glad to have found this incredible site. I've struggled with sobriety for several years now. I look forward to this new journey. It's either this or rehab and from what I've learned this way of life (AA) is the only way to stay sober. I've tried rehab but drank as soon as I got out. For me, drinking is that "forbidden fruit" and I sometimes wonder if everyone didn't make such a big deal out of it that i might just lose interest. I have one of those personalities where if you tell me I can't have something, I just want it more. It's been a double-edged sword in my life and actually worked in my favor in other areas of my life. Regardless, it's time to stop the insanity and i guess i'll ever know the real answer behind my desire to numb out. Here's to a new day and new beginnings. Again, glad to be here. Sincerely, Cali

It works when we work for it. People say AA didn't work for them, but they were not willing to work for AA.
