Well yes, it is very cold in the winter. Mind you, Dundee is just as far north as we are. Unfortunately we get those extremely cold winds blowing east over the Canadian Rockies. A typical winter day in Edmonton would be about -20C.... brrrrrr.

I know this is an old thread, but I'm from Alberta (Edmonton area) and I'm just starting back in AA after a nine year absence. I'm feeling pretty vulnerable, lonely and sad right now, and haven't been to my first meeting yet (am planning on attending Monday nite - it's Fri nite now).

P.S. I've been sober since Jan 25 of this year...hangin in there and glad i found this forum :)

Hey Sam, thanks for the warm welcome. I'm doing much better today thanks...as you know it's up and down. I find if I lay down for a sleep, it's a new day when I wake up...lol.
