When I'm bored, I hit more meetings, talk to other drunks and addicts...don't need for me to spend too much alone time with MY head, at times!
I had a lot of fun in early sobriety, even with the crazies (my head)...had a whole home group around me...we phoned each other, ate together at times, went to stuff together...was an absolute blast.

work the steps.? get involved in some service work.? As time goes by and your mind settles down you'll remember some things you have an interest in before your drinking career.? hang in there and some day you will find yourself not having enough time to do the things you want.

You must keep youself busy that is what helps me.Getting out of myself,I started volunteering at a local animal shelter, read, read read go to a lot of meetings get involved with the fellowship which means making arrangements for people in your home group to get together to bowel movies cook outs BBQ coffee etc...use that telephone get #'s and call call call when you are bored also using your sponsor they will give you things to do in the steps, pray Boredom is an enemy so fight back.

Hi Mike

welcome and so glad you found us

There are a lot of topics here to browse around

Do you go to face to face meetings? There are often service postions open that would help and as others have said reaching out to others and working the steps, reading the Big Book and the 12 x 12 would also help keep bordem at bay...
