I am not exactly a new member, i was on the last forum(christian recovery) this one did not remember me. I am 44 years old and this is my 2nd big attempt at recovery. I was in NA for a few years and managed to put together 17 months. the big difference now is i am actively working the steps and have a knowledgeable support group. For this girl AA was a perfect fit. I am a very spiritual person and love the spirituality in the fellowship!!!!! I am close to 6 months sober. I am glad to be a part of all of you, love love:169:

Thank you all who welcomed me. Yesterday was tough for me and i relied heavy on my higher power. In doing my 9th step amends i was back in touch with my eldest daughter she sent me an email stating she decided this was to much for her and she wanted to break contact. After tears and sadness i of course honored her wishes. I have come to the conclusion that i may be of best service to our relationship to step back and just actively, daily pray for her and give her over to God!!!! Thank's for letting me share this.
