You hear this thrown around in meetings all the time. Is this BB quote what is being referenced, or is it something else?

"By every form of self-deception and experimentation, they will try to prove themselves exceptions to the rule, therefore nonalcoholic ." (My emphasis)

If I convince myself I'm non-alcoholic, and I actually am, how unique - and terminal - is that?

Dear Willard,
If one, in fact convinces themselves that they are non-alcoholic, (not just try as stated in the Big Book), then I believe they will find that the disease is a terminal one. And since we all die, it is not so unique.
