Hello,

My name is Ronnie, I first joined this website in may 2003, I have seen this site change, but it's positive influence on me has not.
My favorite line in the big book, is "shoulder to shoulder we go through our Journey escaping disaster together," I have been through a lot in the past few months, and my friends have been there, my AA friends that is, have been there to help me. I live in Fort Lauderdale and as you know we went through Hurricane Wilma, I live on the ocean. A few days before the storm I lost the love of my life, and the storm did some damage like you can't imagine. I live on the ocean 70 yards from the beach. My Grandmother is on her deathbed and I am at some friends house , from AA. I will be going to Kentucky very soon to see her. Her kidney's have failed and one lung is collapsed. All my friends are behind me 100%. She may be dieing but she will be alive with me in spirit forever. Grandma I love you. I love my friends in AA. Be sure you tell those you love that you do love them. Like Rod Stewart "Have I told you lately that I love You." You fill my heart with gladness, take away all my sadness, ease my trouble that's what you do, and at the end of the day,we give thanks and pray, ease my trouble that's what you do. :)

Hi, Ronnie!

I am so sorry for your losses!

I don't say that lightly...lost my husband a couple of months ago to a sudden heart attack...I like what you said about letting people know how much you love them.

It can all change in a heartbeat!

So grateful to hear about your AA support!

And you are a great example of being able to live life on life's terms today...gives me great hope.

Am praying for you, your grandma , family and friends.

Take care.

Samf
