;D Hi folks, I read page 86 Into Action this morning. The On Awakening paragraph is vital, I can see this after my 25 year struggle to live sober.
Frankly I don't care what happens now, i'm knackered. But I do care about remaining sober and I know I can't live a life that befits a human-being with out the support of AA.
aalivingsober.com is great. I like reading AA literature which I think Anguss has taken the trouble to make available to us, at a push of a button.
Best wishes to you all,
Mike R
I love doing steps ten and eleven, out of the Big Book. Lately, I end up doing the whole thing, in the mornings, as that works for me, right now.
I heard from one person and adopted it: "Read the sentence. Take the action." :D
So, I do that. It is the perfect way for me to start of my day and to stay kind of level, in my recovery.

Hi Mike,
Just wondering how your getting along in these vital first few days of recovery. Are you making the effort to wash and brush up and get to meetings? Because thats where you'll meet that person who can help you to take the information that is available in the Big Book of Alcoholics Anonymous and put it 'into action' - with the help of another human being and in the presence of God as you understand him and "notwithstanding the great necessity for discussing ourselves with someone"....
We can't do this alone and we don't have to try, there are many capable recovering AA's who will accept you as a sponsee and help guide you through the 12 step programme if you are willing to seek them out - remember, we get 'Into action' only when we have accepted the three pertinant ideas asked of us in the preceding chapter. FIRST THINGS FIRST
ps. Our good friends Charie & Carol are the wizards with the software on AASL, I'm just a grateful member like you.
Anguss.
