Hello. I am also new to online recovery. My name is Gayle H. and this is my first online posting. I am really not sure how all this works. Are there actual meetings?

Gayle, hi!

I don't believe there are actual meetings, here. We start topics and then folks can share, if they choose to!

Carol would probably be able to explain what goes on around here, better than I can!

I am really glad to "meet" you, and am glad you posted!

Hi Steph,
Just read your message of 3 july. I'm new to aasoberliving.com too. I am not however new to AA.
I've been going to meetings for nearly 25 years. I'm a week sober. So I haven't made recovery a very joyful experience. But i'm dusting myself down and starting again.
Originallly from London, I now reside in Bristol, here we are spoilt for choice with the volume of meetings, about 80 per week.

Bristol has a serious drink and drug problem and also (thank God) plenty of help for those choosing recovery.

I recently got a new sponsor and joined a home group. I know the ropes, just gotta try a little harder than previously and PUT THE PROGRAMME AT THE TOP OF THE TOTEM POLE!!!

I guess u must be about 7 years sober now. What's your journey been like?

BMike
