I've been asked to present a medallion to a member for one year's sobriety later this week. There used to be a little card with a suggested message to the recipient...it said something like this medallion is neither a reward nor a prize, but a reminder to be grateful.
Can't put my hands on it and would like to know if anyone remembers this and could fill me in?? Thx
OK found what I was looking for...it reads
This is neither a reward nor a prize. It is really a reminder to be grateful. It is hoped that you look upon this year of sobriety as a milestone on the road to service, to help others achieve what you have achieved. Good luck!

Hopefully someone will know .... I have never received such a card with my medallions ... whoever presented my chip to me managed to say nice things about me but that's all! I have no idea where you are located but if you have one, check with your central office. OR, just say the words that you shared here ....

I've never recieved on or seen one, either. All I could suggest is a search, and am guessing you have already done that! Sounds like a wonderful thought!

My sponsor gave me mine,
and he had nothing nice to say...
it was terrible...
he said he wasn't gonna be held responsible
for my ego blowing up.........

in case anyone didn't laugh at that, i was only joking !!!!!
