I'm Grateful!

Good Morning! Today I am so very grateful to have made it another evening (today begins day 5) without drinking. The evening is the hardest for me, I love my wine when I cook. But last night when it started to get hard I made a sparkling water with mango juice and ice and it was great. I am also thankful for my husband for being brutally honest with me about how he feels about my drinking. Also, I am grateful for all of you here listening and supporting. I know I've only been here a few days but it's been a long time coming with of course many tries and trips along the way.

~waking up feeling good
~my sweet dog nudging me to go for a walk on the beach
~support from this site
~fellowship from the online meetings I've been attending
~the knowledge that I am powerless with alcohol
~the fact that I really do want to live a better, sober life

-my mom, who is always there to lend a helping hand
